Rogues Gallery V

After the first, second, third and fourth galleries, a fifth one seemed somehow inevitable. You send the photos in, we put them on the page. Simple, but strangely compelling...

Not sure about the crease in those trousers... Bendy Wendy went on a top secret reconnaissance mission deep behind enemy lines to dig these photos out of her dad's collection. That's Sergeant Woodie on the right, and his and dog Beeza on the A10 on the left.

Now we know why sidecars are boat shaped. This is Quaffmeister's dad Geoff on his Rapide combo, taken in '54 or '55 when he was commuting between Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire and Letchworth in Hertfordshire.

Quaffmeister recalls the episode that ave the combo its place in family lore: "My mother and I (then a babe in arms) were left in the chair whilst dad went off to get something or other, we were parked at the top of some steps by the River Avon at the time, I don't know what caused the disturbance but the outfit started off rolling down the steps. Luckily the steel link chain alongside the river arrested our progress otherwise who knows..."

Motorbikes in the Gruaniad? Surely not... 10000 bikes choked up the centre of London for the 1980 Hyde Park MAG demo, and Dave Barkshire was one of them: "Fred Hill addressed the crowd. He was the 70 something year old who didn't want to be told to wear a helmet. He spent his 70th birthday banged up because he stood his ground. Long live Fred! I was a teenager with a funny hat so the press decided to click in my general direction."

Ah, VB. PaulG80 went all the way to Australia to make sure of his place in Rogues Gallery V. Here he is sharing a beer with Leon (left) and standing next to Ozboy (right) while trying to pretend that the only t-shirt he took on holiday doesn't need washing...

You are Billy Connelly and I claim my £5... This is Millard (MP on the Message Board) Patton's 1963 Servicar, after a complete rebuild from a basket case. Real Trike?

They'll know where to come for the cast of the next series of Last of the Summer Wine Another Saturday meeting at the Daneway pub for the Cotswold division of Hell's Dribblers. Jim Rendell (right) *is* a little teapot, short and stout..

And finally...

The raw materials for Rowena's Organic Hat Factory could be hard to hang onto...

...while Paul regretted signing up for the Japanese Electronics Correspondance Course.
