Subscribe & Save in Scotland

RealClassic gives you more than just a magazine for your annual subs. Take out a subscription and you qualify for all sorts of prizes and discounts -- fancy saving £££s on a Caledonian Classic Motorcycle Tour?

The magazine has just celebrated its second birthday and we wanted to give our subscribers something extra special to celebrate starting our third year in print. Subscribers already get membership of the RealClassic Club and a coveted RC ClubCard, plus newsletters, discounts, prizes, HobNobs and so on.

What else, we wondered, could we organise to give our RealClassic chums a bit of a treat?

Not sure about the bars on that BSA...

Then Rowena remembered meeting Marion from Caledonian Classic Motorcycle Tours last year, on the Scottish leg of the Round Britain Ride. Marion and partner Alan have been RC Clubmen themselves since time began, and they were keen to offer fellow RC subscribers something special for this summer.

Right, then: it's a plan…

So we've organised a discount for RealClassic Clubmen with Marion and Alan on any of their Caledonian Classic Motorcycle Tours, and this discount runs for the whole of the 2006 holiday season. So if you fancy taking a break this summer, and want to ride classic bikes through breathtaking scenery north of the border, you can now save 5% off the price of the tour. Just quote your RealClassic Club membership number (it's on your magazine address label every month!) when you contact CCMT.

There are a few rules but we've tried to keep it all as simple as possible, with no strings attached. There's just one discount per subscriber and you need to book your tour a couple of months in advance. And, erm… that's it.

We think this really is corking value. An RC sub from us costs just £25 for 12 issues to the UK. Quote your RealClassic Club number when you book a Caledonian Tour and you could save anywhere between £12 (for a two-day tour, riding solo on your own bike) and £105 (for a two-up, eight-day tour of the Orkneys using one of Caledonian's stable of classic British bikes). Is that a great deal, or is that a great deal?*

Wish I was there...

Caledonian Classic Motorcycle Tours offer a wide range of guided tours throughout Scotland, the Highlands and Islands and the Border lands. The tours vary in length from a couple of days -- so you could take a weekend out of a family holiday to get some riding in -- to a full week. You can choose to ride one of classic bikes from the Caledonian stable or take your own machine. You could even take a train north or fly to Scotland and avoid the long haul up altogether. If you've not ridden many old bikes before, or have been away from biking for a little while, a Caledonian Tour offers an ideal chance to get some time in the saddle in relaxed circumstances. And did we mention that the tour guides are knowledgeable, very well informed and extremely friendly?

The overall idea of a Caledonian break is that it's flexible and enjoyable, so we hope that lots of RC Club members will be able to take advantage of this discount and get away from it all -- for a little while, at least!

So if you're an existing RC Club member, now is the moment to make the most of your sub and give yourself a two-wheeled treat.

If you're thinking about taking out a subscription then hopefully this enticement should tempt you into taking the plunge - do it today and we'll issue your RC Club number ASAP so you can book your tour and set your sights on Scotland.

Don't hang about - the year is rushing by already. Thanks again for your subscription to RealClassic, and have a great riding season!

I'm avoiding the 'load of old pony' joke...
