Buy A RealClassic Binder

'Nag nag nag. Nag nag binders nag. Nag nag magazines all over the living room / bedroom / shed nag. Nag nag for heaven's sake do some binders so I can tidy them all up and hide them from the missus nag. Nag nag nag...'

The delay in supplying binders for the RealClassic magazine, just for once, wasn't down to indolence, overwork or TP misplacing the paperwork. No - we started looking about six months ago, but struggled to find binders which were both handsome and affordable. It seemed the choices were evenly divided between ticky-tacky flim-flam binders, in almost but not quite the right size, made of plastic, using sharp and inflexible wire inserts, in a ghastly pale blue bathroom colour which could only be acceptable if called 'Wedgewood' and attached to an Ariel of a certain age, decorated with sticky-on lettering that promised to become sticky-off lettering in no time flat... or we could have very nice binders. Very nice binders indeed. Which would cost £12 each. Ulp.

Very nice binders indeed....

So we are indebted to RC Clubman Jim Patten, who dug out contact details for Modern Bookbinders of Blackburn, Lancashire (no reports of holes recently), whose Cordex binder is indeed a thing of decent quality. And it's available in the right colour (a rich dark French navy blue). And we could have lettering of the right colour (silver) in the right font. And - most amazingly - the binder is custom made to fit RealClassic, so it's slightly shorter than the norm (and all the more handsome for it, we feel).

So here it is: the RealClassic binder. You wiggle the magazines into place using the cord inserts, of which there are 12, although getting more than 10 magazines in can be a bit of a struggle. Once filled, it can stand proudly on your bookshelf, where it would not look out of place alongside the Encyclopaedia Britannica, perhaps, or the Times Atlas Of The World, or some other decently heavyweight work of reference (the Aga Cookbook?). Any colour you want, as long as it's this one.

Each binder costs £6, plus £2 postage to the UK, £2.50 to Europe and £3.50 to the rest of the world.

You can send a cheque made payable to The Cosmic Bike Co Ltd to us at PO Box 66, Bude, EX23 9ZX, UK, or use the PayPal buttons (further down the screen) to pay by credit card.

If you want to buy more than one then it's simply a matter of multiplication - no discount for bulk this time, chaps (sorry!), 'cos they're not easy things to post...

However, if you're coming to see us at a show this summer, then it would save postage and faffing (and we all know how TP loves to save faffing...) if you bought your binder in person. We ordered absolutely gazillions of the things so we aren't going to sell out in a hurry - and we'll always have some with us on our travels around the UK.

Of course, if you're not a show-goer or if we don't usually get to your bit of the country then you're very welcome to order a binder by mail order. Please give us a bit of time to fulfill your order; we'll send them within 28 days but we tend to bunch these things together and do a big lump at once so it's unlikely to be by return of post. Only so many hours in the day, etc.

So - to buy using PayPal:

  • One RealClassic Binder, sent to the UK - £8.00
  • One RealClassic Binder, sent to Europe - £8.50
  • One RealClassic Binder, sent to the Rest of the World - £9.50

Or send a cheque made payable to:
    The Cosmic Bike Co Ltd
    to us at:
RealClassic, PO Box 66, Bude, EX23 9ZX, UK

Now, just to inspire you, one RC Clubman has already ordered FOUR binders - not because he has bought three of each issue, but because he believes he's going to need at least that many for future issues. What a nice man! We'd better crack on with building the next issue, then...

Stand out from the inferior crowd...
