Join the RealClassic Club When you subscribe to the monthly RealClassic magazine, you're automatically enrolled in our wee club. When we started it, we weren't sure if people would like the idea - but the feedback seems pretty positive... 'I always have trouble with being in the Right Club. It stems from my apprentice years when I bought a Royal Enfield Continental GT and my friends all bought scooters… When I took my 1936 Japanese Ricoh to a local Jap club meeting I was told that it was a copy of the Harley-Davidson, but at the local Harley owners meeting it was apparently a Japanese clone! My new Triumph Thruxton Bonneville is a 'pastiche' (should have bought a 1968 version, mate), whilst my Vincent Firefly is not much better (wrong noise, engine too small).
I followed the advice in the weeklies, bought a sportsbike and diligently practised 'stoppies' and 'wheelies', went to watch a race meeting, but lost motorcycle and myself (everybody with same colour motorcycles, leathers and helmets). Took my Triumph Hurricane X-75 to Beezumph Rally, lost motorcycle amongst other 60 similar motorcycles, but not myself! In desperation took problem to my psychiatrist, who came to an immediate diagnosis. I was still not in the Right Club. What I needed to join, he suggested, was the Investors' Club. Buy a Brough, Vincent and the odd ex-works Velocette, place them in your heated conservatory and look at them and appreciate them. Or did he say 'watch them appreciate'?
Then I went to the Newbury Car and Bike Show and saw a large genial bearded Noted Expert selling RealClassic magazine. Read one on the stand, what joy! All the old names, Frank Wentworth, Dave Minton et al. Paid my money and joined RealClassic Club. Am I finally in the Right Club? Time will tell, but at the moment at least I can be advised by experts!' Kelvyn C, Member 3878 ******* So What Do You Get If You Join The RealClassic Club? All that for just £25! If we've already convinced you, then follow this link to take out a subscription and join the club: www.realclassic.co.uk/subscribe But if you still aren't sure whether you'd like to read RealClassic every month, then see what other club members have to say about the mag (and we didn't bribe them or threaten them or anything. Honest)… I'm very pleased with the magazine. It's everything that I was told it would be.
'I find it such a good and varied read that I now take no other magazines. You must be doing something right!'
'A real breath of fresh air. Really enjoyed every issue. I've stopped reading the others'
'Fantastic mag. Change absolutely nothing -- if it were double the price I would still buy it.'
'Carry on the sterling work - it's great to deal with real people for a change instead of impersonal national media organisations.'
'Keep up the good work with the magazine. The enthusiasm shines from its pages every month. That's the difference between RC and all other bike mags: it's produced by enthusiasts rather than by people just doing it for a living and yet maintains higher standards than any of its rivals (in truth it doesn't have any!)
'I read all the classic magazines plus a large number of club offerings and I am not exaggerating when I say that yours is, without doubt, the best.'
'No hesitation about renewing. Can't get enough of an excellent magazine.'
'You have struck a great balance between conveying knowledge and warmth and lots of humour. I look forward to every issue.'
'I have taken many classic bike and car magazines for almost the last 450 years but yours knocks them into a cocked hat. The whole layout and content are first class. It's like a breath of fresh air to read about bikes that people ride in all weathers, for pleasure, to work and, can you imagine, even to shows!'
'I honestly believe RealClassic is a gem of a magazine and I look forward to its arrival each month. If I could subscribe to only one magazine, and belong to only one club, it would be RealClassic.'
******** Still not convinced? Blimey. You're a tough nut to crack. How about trying a single issue to see if you like it? You don't get to join the club that way, though… |
