Hog Fever by Richard La PlanteHog Fever

This book comes recommended by RealClassic.co.uk reader David Atkinson, who says; 'I have read this many times and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is about Richard's initial drooling over the contents of Warr's Chelsea showroom, his subsequent buying of an HD 883 Sportster, and how he was hooked by the marque and went progressively larger in cc size, plus his rides to southern Spain and America.'

The author, Richard La Plante holds degrees in literature and psychology; is a black belt in karate; is a licenced boxing coach; has his own hard rock band and has written several novels, one entitled 'Tegne: Warlord of Zendow.' We're impressed, already!

The quote from Terence Stamp on the cover of the paperback might have swayed our judgement, too; 'I couldn't put it down' said Tezza. Well, do you want to argue with Sergeant Troy?

Hog Fever, The Hard Ride to Harley Heaven by Richard La Plante was published by Simon and Shuster, ISBN 0 671 85108 X in 1994. Amazon might get some more copies in stock, so it's worth a look.
