The classic racing season draws to a close and the shopping season looms on the horizon. Oh, and do you wanna win a free trip to the Isle of Man?...
Historic Racing Season Finale at Cadwell
There's a bumper entry for the last British Historic Racing meet of 2013 on the 28th and 29th of September 2013. All the classic aces have signed up for two days of racing at one of the best circuits in the country - Cadwell Park, a track which is always appreciated by both riders and spectators. Most of the championships are already decided but, there are furious battles in store for the bronze and silver medals in several classes.
Among the 30-plus three-wheelers, look out for the König of Chris Nickels and the 'Morgan Hale' of Ewan Cameron, who is also campaigning the 'Manx Superior' in the solo unlimited races. Squads of scooters can be relied upon to provide plenty of excitement while there are more than 100 riders of racing solos of all shapes and sizes, all looking forward to the challenge of Cadwell Park.
The weekend's action also includes the over 500cc solo class as well as the exciting BEARS championship. Road-riders can also experience the track as there will be spectators' parades at lunchtime. To take part, contact the paddock office or see www.britishhistoricracing.co.uk
Dates to Suit All Tastes
After courting controversy in recent years with their 'girlie' calendars, the AJS & Matchless Owners' Club are attempting to please all of the people all of the time by offering a choice of TWO calendars for 2014. Both calendars feature high quality images on pure white backgrounds. As in previous years (by popular demand, apparently) one calendar features lovely ladies on bikes of the marque. But for those who prefer only their bikes to be semi-clad and on public display, there is another calendar which features some outstanding AJS & Matchless models - of the motorcycle kind.
Both versions of the calendar cost £7 from www.jampot.com and will also available at most classic shows and events this autumn.
The latest edition of VMCC's extensive mail-order catalogue, 'The Vintage Selection' is now available. The catalogue boasts loads of new products this year, including even more spare parts, books, accessories, clothing, memorabilia and specialist products as well as a huge new tyres section. Presented in a full colour, 48-page landscape format, the catalogue is full of Christmas gift ideas for the classic two-wheel enthusiast. Just circle the items you'd most like to receive, and leave it on the kitchen table doing an excellent impression of a big fat hint. If you haven't received a copy, just contact email@example.com and one will be sent to you in the post.
Or, bounce over to www.vmccshop.net which has likewise been updated with all the spiffy new things which have been added to the Vintage Selection. In fact, the online shop lists hundreds more products than it's possible to show in the printed version of the catalogue. The VMCC's web shop also offers bundles of bargains including special offers and end of line stock which aren't available anywhere else.
