We Have Ignition!

Top marks go to C Wyldes in Leeds (cwylde.co.uk). Not only were they doing the Pazon ignition kit a lot cheaper than anyone else, but they were doing free postage and packaging as well in January. I contacted them in the morning and they said the goods would be couriered, but there's no delivery on Saturday mornings, so I asked him to post it,

Pazon Ignition Kit

It arrived the next morning at 9am. The Pazon system looks and feels to be a better bit of kit than the Boyer. It came with full instructions (book), all the cable ties and clips and plastic tubing to go over the cables. It was also much easier to set up than a Boyer. The job's a good 'un; it's fitted and running now.

Top Tyres

Wheelhousetyres.com were not only the cheapest online tyre suppliers for my classic tyres, but also delivered them FoC within 24 hours of my order. Absolutely fantastic.

Beezer Geezers also tops for Triumph Shock

I recently required some major work on the engine of my 1967 Triumph TR6. Over the years I've had a go at most jobs that crop up while keeping an old bike functioning as it should, but this time I felt that a total rebuild was beyond me. The wife says that old age and growing impatience are not the best attributes of an engine builder!

SRM's latest project, yesterday...

So I sent the bike to SRM Engineering and they carried out a brilliant job in a very efficient manner. I was kept informed of progress all the way and given an itemised quotation before work started, and the quote was correct once the job was completed. I now have a great reliable bike again. So after 2000 miles of first-kick starting and no oil leaks I highly recommend SRM to anyone who needs a little help with their P&J.

Ducati Dazzlers

provide an excellent service. Not being a internet bod, I found them easy to deal with by phone via 01296 730 391

Paint Perfection

I didn't really know exactly what shade of paint I needed to re-do my 1960s Triumph, so was delighted to be told about John Crichlow of msmotorcyclesuk.com.

They can provide exactly the right shade to match your bike's individual frame and engine numbers, or can make up a batch specially to go with a sample.

They mainly specialise in original Triumphs but do have some colours for other classics and later bikes - and the colour-matching service should work for any kind of bike.

Mag Man

After suffering magneto failure on my 1958 BSA A10, Steve Light the magneto specialist of Horsham was recommended to me. Nothing was too much trouble; he tested and refurbished it with numerous technical advice and superb service. Steve is a truly knowledgeable and helpful guy and I can highly recommend him. He's on 01403 265777.

A Magneto, Yesterday...

Stand And Deliver!

I have discovered a really good A1+ courier for bike collection and delivery. A lot of bikes are not sold as people worry about cost of collection and the 'man with a van' slinging your new baby in the back of a horse cart. When buying and selling bikes myself I have found this particular delivery guy to be far cheaper than actually collecting the bikes myself. A first!

I have had over 13 bikes collected by Gary Davies, courier and collections ( 07836 606237. He is based in Birmingham and has all the gear, insurance and most of all utter respect for our beloved bikes that we buy. I can genuinely say that he is very prompt and efficient on collection and delivery, which is ideal if you have to have a day off (as I often do) when waiting for a bike to be delivered.

Having now had him collect so many bikes for me now, I now even trust him as he has proved to be so trustworthy that he just collects the cash and I leave him to it. I don't normally leave feedback or make recommendations for people/services but in my eyes he really has proved to be 'one in a million'. I will definitely NOT be using anyone else for my bike delivery and collections while this guy is trading.
