Buy the 2009 RealClassic Collection
You might be looking for a special gift for a friend or relative who's interested in classic bikes. Or maybe you've missed this year's monthly RealClassic mags and would like to catch up. Here's how you can buy all the issues from 2009, smartly presented in a bespoke binder... During 2009 we've featured all manner of eccentric, intriguing and involving old motorcycles in the monthly RealClassic magazine. We've test-ridden old Brits by the boatload, from a cammy Norton back in January through to the new Bonneville in December. You can read about all of these classic bikes in the 2009 RealClassic Collection; a compilation of 12 issues from RC57 through to RC68. In those magazines we've admired bikes from all eras like the 1920s Warren Villiers, a 1930s OEC, a 1940s Matchless G80, a pair of 1950s Triumph T110s, a 1960s Triumph TRW and right up to the last gasp of the old industry with a Trident 750 -- and more. Ariels, Beesas, and Ajays, Velos, Royal Enfield and Matchless machines have been on parade alongside less well-known models like a DMW Typhoon racer or even an Indian-built Velocette.
For those whose tastes tend towards the more cosmopolitan, you'll find a fair smattering of classics from overseas gracing our pages too. In 2009 we've met a mob of Moto Guzzis, a Laverda triple or two, Benelli's 750 Sei, an MV Agusta 350, Honda's XBR500s and CB750, a Nimbus Bumblebee, a Harley-D café racer and a very, very troublesome MV Agusta America among others.
On top of all that we feature regular episodes from Frank Westworth's Shed, while Jacqueline Bickerstaff plunges into obscure engineering and Dave Minton recalls his highlights and low moments as a motorcycling journalist. Steve Wilson trekked through Africa on an Ariel and we've tried all manner of technical tricks like nickel plating, wheel building and 12-Volt conversions. RC readers also contribute to the fray, providing pages of intelligent and informed debate upon the world of classic motorcycling each month.
This all adds up to nearly 1400 pages of entertaining reading which you can now purchase in one big lump. There are quite a lot of words (long ones, some of them) in RealClassic, as well as usefully-captioned illustrations, so this Collection should keep you quiet for quite a while. And when you're not reading the 2009 RealClassic Collection, it also doubles as a handy door-stop / defensive weapon…
If you buy all 12 issues separately they'll cost £42 in total. In the RC Collection the magazines come smartly compiled in an RC binder, which usually retails for £8. So in total the whole package normally costs £50 if you buy online - but we've knocked 20% off that price so the total cost is just £39.95, delivered to the UK. (We should probably make a song and dance at this point about Save! Over! A! Tenner! But we can't handle the excitement, so you'll just have to imagine that bit for your self. OK?)
Sorry: Sold Out! If you don't want to buy a whole year in one go then you're welcome to browse the list of available magazines and buy a single issue. If you'd prefer to get your magazine as it's published every month, then you can subscribe and join the RC Club. We can also supply a RealClassic 2008 Collection for the same price: please email for details. All orders are usually processed within three days: if you haven't received a confirmation email from us within five days then please get in touch in case there's any kind of problem. Please allow up to 21 days for delivery within the UK, although it's usually much faster than that (typically within 10 days from order). |
