Cape Town Vintage Car and Bike Show
It's cold and grey and wet and miserable in the UK. So we despatched our South African correspondent, Paul Bubear, to find some greenery and sunshine. Amazingly, he discovered some British and Italian classic bikes, too...
This year’s Cape Town Vintage Car and Bike Show was held on 18th January 2015 at the headquarters of the International Police Association, Timour Hall Villa, Plumstead, South Africa. You would hope that any event held at Plumstead would host examples of the AJS and Matchless marques, and indeed there was one Ajay to fly the AMC flag.
The Italian motorcycle club was strongly represented at the Show but with mainly modern Ducatis and Guzzis, though a Benelli 750 Sei and a couple of tiddlers did pose to have their photos taken. All gate proceeds are donated to charity.
