RealClassic Magazine - Digital Subscription

Renew Here

Home -> Magazine -> Subscribe -> Electronic Edition, on Zinio | PocketMag | App Store | Android | Nook

It can be tricky to track down every issue of RealClassic, as the monthly magazine isn't widely available on the High Street. So now you can read it anywhere in the world on your tablet or smartphone. Try a sample issue for FREE to see how it works...

The monthly RealClassic magazine is a lot like the RealClassic.co.uk website, only more so. Longer, in-depth articles with bigger, detailed photographs; creative and informative captions so you have a chance of figuring out what you're looking at, and an inclination to employ words of more than one syllable.

RealClassic - The Magazine

The magazine majors on British bikes of the postwar period, although we have a weakness for all things Italian too, and don't entirely ignore American and Japanese machines - they all weave into the wonderfully tangled pattern that is classic motorcycling in the 21st century.

And speaking of the 21st century…

...we're well aware that waiting for the postman to deliver a paper copy of RealClassic each month is somewhat anachronistic. In many ways that is fitting - this is a classic magazine, after all - but many of our subscribers don't want to have to wait that long. RC isn't normally on sale in newsagents (although you might find an occasional copy on a special promotion). You can of course round up all the recent issues from the RC Roadshow at a show or autojumble - but that doesn't solve the problem of getting your paws on the current issue on the day it's published.

Enter the apps! You can now read the monthly RealClassic magazine on your desktop, tablet or smartphone. It's exactly the same magazine as you'd receive on paper - over 100 pages containing all the articles, adverts and information - in full colour and bright, shiny digital clarity.

iPad version ideal for disembodied hands

You can buy individual copies of the magazine or take out an annual subscription. There's a FREE edition available for you to download to get the ball rolling, and the app itself is FREE too. So you can play around and see if you like the format and enjoy reading RC this way. You won't normally find RC on the newstands or in shops, so if you haven't enjoyed an issue before then we hope you like the trial copy, and come back for more. You got about a hundred issues to catch up on!

You can also subscribe to RealClassic via Zinio, which means it'll be delivered each month direct to your desktop - be that a PC, Mac or iPad.

Subscribing to any of the digital versions of RealClassic brings some extra benefits, too:-

  • bargain worldwide subs rates: avoid the postal prices for delivery outside the UK
  • easy reading: you control the size of the text so can stop straining your eyes
  • instant arrival: your magazine arrives promptly without delivery delays in the post
  • simple storage: keep back issues to hand for reading on the plane or train
  • photo zoom: enlarge images of feature bikes to check exact mechanical details

And on top of all that, if an article hasn't quite answered all your questions, or if you'd like to comment or chat about it, you can instantly zip to the exclusive RC subscribers' group on Facebook and talk directly to the editorial staff, contributors and other RC riders. You'll still have to wait a month between editions of the magazine - even modern technology doesn't speed up the calendar - but you'll find a separate stream of classic bike profiles, news stories, event reports and tech tales being posted throughout the month here on RealClassic.co.uk

That should be enough to keep you… appy! (Sorry. Bad jokes also come free with RC)

    --------------

And - before anyone mentions it - yes, we're well aware of the irony of this situation. RealClassic started out as an entirely electronic publication (and of course we continue to publish new, full length articles about classic bikes every week here on RealClassic.co.uk) before spawning a paper offshoot in the shape of the printed magazine. And now that magazine exists in electronic form. It's like the publishing incarnation of a Mobius strip or Escher's staircase: as I was going up the stairs, I met a man who wasn't there…
